Betsy has two daughters and became involved with Girls on the Run -DC as a coach in 2008. She became the Executive Director in January 2010. Betsy is a runner herself and completed her first marathon in December 2009. Kristen joined the staff of GOTR-DC in August 2010 and was previously a coach for Greater Chesapeake GOTR Council in Spring ’10. She was a Project and Program Planner for Anne Arundel County Community Action Agency prior to joining GOTR-DC. Kristen has a Masters in Organizational Development from Johns Hopkins. Her work experience includes being a former elementary schoolteacher and a corporate trainer. She is the mother of two boys, has run a marathon and several long distance races while believing in a healthy and active living. email@example.com
Fran has been an avid marathon runner and triathlete for many years. She has two daughters and first became involved with Girls on the Run DC as a volunteer at the Fall ’10 5k race and then as a coach in Spring ’11. She is thrilled to be part of the GOTR DC team! firstname.lastname@example.org
Eve is passionate about the sport of long distance running. After taking up running at the age of 41, Eve has completed over 25 marathons, three ultra-marathons, and has qualified for the Boston Marathon 8 times. Eve decided to share her enthusiasm for running with others and founded the Montgomery County, MD chapter of Girls on the Run. Eve continued to serve on the board until December 2011.
Currently, Eve serves as the Treasurer for Teens Run DC, and is an active member of the Cherry Blossom 10 Mile Race Committee. She has a degree in finance from the University of Massachusetts, a Masters in Taxation from George Washington University and a Certificate of Nonprofit Management from Georgetown University. She is also a CPA in the State of Maryland and an RRCA Certified Running Coach.
Liz is a junior at Georgetown University. She is majoring in Government and English, with a minor in Art History. Liz is training to complete her first marathon this fall. She is very excited to be a part of Girls on the Run DC, as an intern, this summer!
Sarina was born and raised in Washington, DC. She is entering her senior year at American University and is majoring in Public Health, with a concentration in Health Science. She is passionate about staying active through biking and cannot wait to be a part of the team at Girls on the Run DC.
